I am thinking about sending off my Early 08 MBP as it is having tons of graphics issues with the DVI port (screen tracking, etc.) ... I am wondering - Do I have to put in the factory/stock 2gb ram that came with the computer or can i leave in the 2x2g sticks I bought and put in myself? If they have to replace the machine (unlikely) will they take my ram out and put it in the new machine?

If you haven't sold the ram, why not just switch it to be safe? I think that spending 5 mins is well worth the peace of mind😀
