putting widgets on ibook desktop

    i have an ibook g4 and i have moved widgets from the dashboard to thedesktop once before but now i cant find out how to do it. i cant press F12 because that is my disk eject button....how can i do it!! also how do i get rid of it once they are one there?

    help please! thanks!

    Press Fn (function) + F12 to use the button as F12 and not as the eject button.

    Also you can change the button that brings up the Dashboard widgets in System Preferences > Dashboard & Expose.

    thanks!!! ur a life saver! you wouldnt believe iv had this computer for like 4 years and i still dont know how to do stuff on it lol
