There was a thread about a "return of the tile puzzle game" but that was from 2005 and wasn't exactly what I was looking for.

Remembering WAAAAAAY back, (I think the last time I saw it was OS7), there used to be a puzzle game under the apple logo in the top left menu bar. (the one where the about this mac, system preferences, dock, etc etc)

Is there any way to get that back under Leopard? I'm bored at work, and that'd help ease the pain a bit! :)

    You could always go here:

    http://www.tilepuzzles.com/

I started computing at OS7.1 and can't remember if the puzzle game was still there when I moved to OS8 or not. I'm pretty sure it was gone in OS9 though.

Those were the good ole days of the Mac. I really loved playing the puzzle game.

Not sure if it was widely known, but you could copy/paste a photo onto the puzzle and play that way.

Would make for a cool iPhone game.

ASIDE - someone should make a Shufflepuck Cafe game for the iPhone.

Isn't there already a sliding puzzle in Mac OS X's Dashboard widgets?? I don't know if you can paste your own images into it - worth a try though.
