Hey guys, i have a quick question which i couldnt answer from searching macrumors or google.

I can access my avi files on my sdcard through iFile but when i click open with i cant seem to use VLC as an option. Only the native iFile player shows which doesnt open the format.

So my question is, do i need to use a different player? or am i missing something here as a setting change.

Thanks for the help.

I finally found a way to get it to work via XBMC.

Are there any alternatives or different players i can use through iFile? i will resort to XBMC as a last measure, but happy i finally got it to work.

You can use every player (except VLC ;)). Install the app (i.e. OPlayer) and create a shortcut in the app's documents folder. The shortcut should lead to your sd-card or usb-drive. Now, you're able to watch videos directly without copy them onto you iPad
