    so i copied one new font to my iPhone, and try to use that from the Wallpaper.html (big clock), i read here how to overwrite a default font, but i only want this particular font for one thing and do not want to overwrite a font that is possibly used somewhere which then will change.. how do i add that new font so i works, i copied it to /System/Library/Fonts/Cache.

    thanks!

    Having only ever changed the default font once manually I dont rly have much knowledge of this.

    Is it wallpaper.html that is using the font you want to change? If so, add the font with its real name then just change the wallpaper.html file to reflect the new font name. I'm not sure what the layout of the file is (its obviously html/css) so if you want to paste it I can take a look and try and help further.

    i tried 2 methods.. 1. "calling upon" the font with it's real name and 2. renaming it to a default on the iPhone font, in both cases it reverted to a default looking font, code is nothing spectacular:

    Code:
    <html>
    <head><title>newclock</title></head>
    <style>

        SPAN#clock
    {
            font-family: Helvetica;
            color: #ffffff;
            font-size: 38px;
            text-shadow: #000000 1px 2px 1px;
    	  text-decoration: bold;
    }

    i have not tried coding it directly in the section..

    Code:
    <table style="position: absolute; top: 0px; left: 0px; width: 320px; height: 130px;" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" align="center">
    <tr align="center" valign="top"  border="0" cellpadding="0">
        <td width="320" height="130" background="ClockBar.png" valign="top">
        </td>
    </tr>
    </table>

    <table style="position: absolute; top: 32px; left: 0px; width: 320px; height: 461px;" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" align="center">
    <tr align="center" valign="top"  border="0" cellpadding="0">
        <td height="10" valign="top">
        <span id="clock">
            <script language="JavaScript">updateClock(); setInterval('updateClock()', 1000 )</script></span><span id="ampm">
            <script language="JavaScript">amPm(); setInterval('amPm()', 1000 )</script>
        </span>
        </td>
    </tr>

    as said, nothing radical....

    thanks for the reply.

    added info.

    when i open the Wallpaper.html in Firefox (on laptop) it does show the font.. so it must be something on the iPhone.

    btw. not sure it matters but it's this font..
