I was going to use this for myself, not for a business. I'll be new to Apple. Haven't used one daily for about 2 years, but have used them from time to time. Even owned them.
But, I was under the impression that the Apple isn't as much as a resource hog. As a PC in general. So I ordered the 8GB version. But now I'm hearing I should get the 16GB (not so much that the chip can't be upgraded) but because Apple stores programs you load in ram for faster access and you could run into issues with caching?

I have 4GB of RAM in my MBA and haven't had issues. If you have an SSD (as MBPR does), running out of RAM is not such a big deal because swapping to an SSD is very fast anyway. With HDs there was a significant lag.
