QI Wireless Charging for ipad Air II?

Hi - is there a wireless charging option for the iPad Air II?
Our 8yr old son was given an iPad Air II last Christmas by Santa but we've already had to replace the charging cable because it gets bent when it's charging and he's using it at the same time (he tends to pull the cable I guess)

We've told him not to use it whilst charging now.. but the constant plugging and unplugging is something I want to get rid off so I'm looking at wireless charging options so it'll be much easier for him to just place it on a charging mat.

I think the only option still involves a wire. See this:

Thanks. They will still have a wire. The chip is connected by a thin wire to the lightning port of the ipad... but the chip is folded and hidden behind the ipad hopefully in a case.
I just want to make sure or find something that is 100% compatible.

Someone must have used one?
