Pretty sure the home server here is Microsoft Qnap server and I'm always having trouble connecting to it. I go into finder and try to mount one of the folders and it says its mounted but when I click on subfolders everything disappears. If I try to connect to the server via the IP address, it errors out as well.

The error I see most is error code -8060. After some googling I found this may have to do with aliases but I couldnt find anything on clearing or deleting aliases and I'm still having problems.

What should I do?

I think this has something to do with symlinks. How do I remove the symlinks on a home media Qnap server?
