quad core questions

if/when apple puts quad cores into the umbp, will it be just in the 17 inch? How much will it bump up the price? When would it happen? Thanks

It would be when you can get a 25W quad-core laptop processor.

Let us know when that happens (Should be Arrandale).

There were never going to be updates at WWDC. You can't possibly benefit from waiting anything they would do until Arrandale.

Arrandale should be Novemberish/Q1 2010, but there is really no guarantee of quad-core. Arrandale is just the first opportunity they have to go quad-core.

Clarksfield (already released) is quad-core (oct thread). If they wanted, this is their first opportunity to go quad core.

Arrandale is dual-core (quad thread) only, and wont be released until Q4.
