You put your PPCs through much more intense work than I ever did - would be very curious to see what your RAM usage is like. I had 16 GB in my (now sold) quad, and iirc barely broke 4 gb.

I can't give you an exact number, but it's not very high.

I am solidly using 2GB of it all the time though as a ram disk.

Its really not that easy to use a ton of RAM on Leopard or older OS. I have 16GB in my quad and about the most I've ever been able to use was 6GB. Its amazing how much RAM Lion and Mountain Lion could chew up.

Absolutely!

That last one, the blueish icon. That was my FIRST coffee icon. I've been using that one since 1999 where I started with it on a PowerMac G4 at the Desert Sun in Palm Springs, CA.
