Hi guys,

I have an old iMac running High Sierra in which the display is jumbled and distorted, meaning its impossible to make anything out visually.

Is it possible to attach a network cable to perform a data recovery from a second Mac?

If the sharing options in the old iMac are turned on, you could access the old iMac via SSH or VNC. This requires your Macs being in the same LAN.

If not, try connecting an external monitor or using Target Disk Mode.
