I heard I have 30 days to decide if I like my iphone. Or it may have been 14, either way Im still within that timeframe.

I have decided I wanted to return my Iphone, or possibly ebay it if they dont allow the return.

There is a small scratch on the back from 1 time I dropped it. If I return it will they allow the return? I know of the 59.00 fee when you return it.

Also, does this allow me to cancel my 2yr contract with cingular without penalty?

Just curious...why are you returning it? I'm not sure about any penalties beyond the re-stock fee.

im an impulse buyer, and made the wrong decision, thats all.

will apple mind the scratch on the back? or im guessing thats why they charge the 10% restock fee

Apple will take it back, minus the fee.

AT&T will let you cancel without penalty if within 30 days, you'll just be on the hook for any minutes/data used.

I thought you had to return the iphone within 14 days? but you had 30 days to cancel at&t? you might want to double check.

I too thought that the return policy was 14 days.

    You'd better hurry!

Yeah, the iPhone must be returned within 14 days. I wonder how this conflicts with AT&T's "test drive" 30 day offer.

Although I'm of the opinion that you pretty much know within a week whether or not a phone and service will work for you.

Yes you can return the iphone and exchange it for a new one...wink wink

Hey there...wink wink...IF that scratch is really bothering you, and you want a brand new iphone. Buy a brand new one, switch sim cards, re-activate the new phone, and then take the scratched one back to the store and return it.

You will incur a $59 charge, which you might be able to put in dispute if you bought it on credit.

But if you really just want to return it, then do so, they'll take it back.
