Question about 64 bit or 32 bit kernel.

I have a Core 2 Duo 2.4 Ghz Macbook Pro from 2008 maxed out at 4GB RAM.

The question is should I see any difference if I boot with 32 bit or 64 bit kernel?

When booting with 32 bit the machine seems faster after startup but I think 64 bit handles multitasking better (or it could just be my crazy brain)

Which one is better if I tend to open a lot of apps at a time and use demanding apps like After Effects, Photoshop and Premiere?

Those are RAM demanding applications.
If you have a late 2008 MBP, you can upgrade to 8 GB RAM.

Upgrading RAM in MacBooks and MacBook Pros​

The 32-bit kernel will still allow you to have more than 3 GB per application.
