I bought a refurbished iPad 8 32gb no data, from the Apple Store back on Sept 29. I decided to give it to my daughter for Christmas this year. Do you think the battery will be completely dead by then? Will it be okay sitting in the box another month? Just a little anxiety going on.

And if depleted the battery will charge for a little while the device can be used rather quickly afterwards. And as a positive side note, the receiver will be able to focus on being social rather than spend all Christmas on that screen ;)

Absolutely! I've never owned an iPad before and I discreetly ended up buying myself a 9th gen after I bought hers because honestly after watching all the videos about the one I bought her I was like I could really use one too lol. I love it! And it is so damn difficult to hide my excitement about BOTH our new toys because she has no idea I bought myself one. She thinks I'm giving her my Mom's old iPad mini from 2015 and a midi keyboard and audio monitors just so she can have access to GarageBand. She's already super excited for that because she's already used to using GarageBand on my iMac. She just turned eleven. She's going to go through the roof when she unwraps this and sees what she got instead.

My moms old iPad is the first gen iPad mini

ETA: My exwife got her the Logitech folio and Apple Pencil 1 for it too. She's gonna be a happy kid and it's well deserved!
