Other Question about Activation

Hi,
I just ordered my iPhone XS MAX Space Gray 64gb from apple.com, but I did not get it activated with AT&T. I was trying to get to my bag quicker....what happens now and how do I get it activated?

take your sim from you current phone and put it into the new phone
