Question about adding another line to family plan?

    I see a lot of people suggesting adding another line...here's our situation. My dh and I have a family plan 550 minutes a month for $60, and I have an iPhone so I will be upgrade eligible. However, he doesn't, so he isn't upgrade eligible until December of this year. If we add another line for $9.99, we can get the iPhone for $199/$299. Can we then cancel the first line once the 2 year contract has been fulfilled? How does that work if we eventually cancel the original line? Anyone knows?

    You can cancel any line as long as your not in a contract. They would simply make another line as your primary line.
