Question about Apple Cinema Display

i just picked up a 23" aluminium Cinema Display. i have a question about scaling. as you can see in the photo the black bars surrounding the image. i have the resolution set to 1920x1200. my video card is a pc 7970 could that be why. The Computer is a Mac pro 1,1/2,1. sorry i really didnt know where to post this on the forum.

i did figure out the issue it was that i was using a pc 7970 after flashing it to have efi the black border is now gone.
