I found a whole bunch of fraudulent charges on my Citibank account - thousands of dollars - from 2025, over a year ago.

Of course I notified Citibank. I am hoping they will investigate and make good on this fraud.

Citibank also informs me that these charges were made through Apple pay.

(Background: I have a 2025 Macbook Pro, currently covered by AppleCare. I do not have an iPhone, I do have an android.)

my question: is there any way to see my apple pay transactions from 2025? on a laptop or a browser or what? (I can call apple care ... if I know what to ask them...)

Grateful for any suggestions / feedback!

Apple has an online portal for their own Apple Card, but any Wallet purchase history made with a 3rd party card is only on your Mac, I believe.

See the latest Apple Pay transaction history on your Mac with Touch ID, iPad, or Apple Vision Pro

  1. On your device, open your Wallet & Apple Pay settings.
    • On your Mac with Touch ID, choose Apple menu > System Settings (or System Preferences), then click Wallet & Apple Pay.
    • On your iPad or Vision Pro, go to Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay.
  2. Select a card.
  3. Select the Transactions tab.
  4. Select a transaction to see more details.
If you've connected your account to an eligible debit or credit card in the Wallet app, there might be a generic daily timestamp in your transaction history.

so, I go to that part of SYSTEM SETTINGS

I can see all the cards I have had for years and years under "autofill cards"

I click on the card, and it gives me the details of the card itself.

But I can NOT see the transactions anywhere. I must be looking in the wrong place, but I am clueless as to where they might be. (attaching screenshot, though I don't know if it's helpful... I put the red box over my eMail & phone #)

You don't have any Apple Pay cards set up on your Mac. The card and its history would show in the "Debit or Credit Card" section if you did.

Sounds like someone must have known your card info and added the card to their Apple device.

Btw, there's no use in adding the card to view the history. The Apple Pay history is specific per device, where the virtual card lives. Purchases I've made through Apple Pay on my iPhone do not show up on my Mac, and vice versa.

hey, thank you for the feedback!

if it is not too much to ask, can you show me a screenshot of what it would look like IF I did have apple pay cards set up, or credit / debit cards set up to work with Apple Pay? (of course, please blank out all the personal info...)

thanks again. this is very helpful!

Yes. And no. I've got transactions I've made on other devices (latest one, Mac) show on my iPhone Wallet. And vice versa (Watch charges showing on Mac). So YMMV.

Depends on the card issuer. And card issuer also controls how many transactions show in Wallet so odds are will never see 2025 transactions in Wallet at this point in time (ie. this far into 2026).

ADD: Wonder if the CS rep for Citibank was confusing "Apple Store" for "Apple Pay". OP had lots of charges racked up on stolen CC that was used to buy games/apps and or test to see if the card is still valid (ie. the old buy a $0.99 app in App Store with stolen number)? OP should be able to pull up their statements from 2025 via Citi app and or website to see what was going on.
