I'm looking at getting a PowerBook g4 for a friend. It's 15 inch with a 1.5 ghz processor, 768 mb of ram (I plan to upgrade it), a 80 gb HD, and it's in really good condition all for $275. Think I should buy it? Thanks!

I'd say if it's in really good condition, that's a pretty good deal. Do you have any other specs on it? Like a specific model number? What is your friend going to be using it for anyway?

Thats a good deal, so long as your friend is only going to be doing casual browsing, email, and word processing 😉 What do you plan to upgrade the RAM to?

Ok, I'm planning to get it if it's in good condition. Thanks for all the advice!

I'm planning on probably upgrading it to a gig and a half because I'm guess that there's a 512 and a 256 in there right now. I will also put leopard on it.

Yeh that extra RAM would probably do it some good. Although it might run better with Tiger than with Leopard. Older Macs to tend to 😉
