On my 2011 15" 2.0 i7, I've noticed that the battery charges very fast, much much faster than on my 2008 Aluminum Macbook. From what I can tell, aside from just charging faster, the 15" never seems to enter the trickle charge mode. Googling turned up nothing, so I figured I'd ask here. Is it normal for the new Macbooks to never enter trickle charge mode?

The only thing I can say is...the battery on the MacBook Pro is probably larger than that of the MacBook and will likely take more time to charge. Also, the MacBook has a used-out battery that won't accept as much charge.
