i am thinking of buying a 32'' hdtv and i also want to connect my macbook pro to it.

what feature on the tv would be needed to connect my macbook to it?

We have connected our MBPs to both of our HDTVs using DVI on the one that supports it and HDMI on the other. You need a regular DVI monitor cable for one solution while HDMI requires either a DVI to HDMI cable of the DVI-HDMI adapter and a standard HDMI cable.

Audio must be run separately. I use the headphone jack with a cable matched to the connections on the HDTV.

    Cheers,
