I have a question involving making a widget via Dashcode...

I know how to make a countdown widget, don't get me wrong, it's just that I don't want to already have a specified target date for the downloaders to use; there is no fun in that.

I want to have it so that the host can enter a target date, say either a couple of drop down menus or a text field telling them to enter a date.

After this, they click "Enter" and then they click done. Then on the front side it interprets how many days there is to go from that date, and then it is done.

This would be very helpful other than picking a non-changeable target date, because then there would be no point in downloading the widget, only if you have a holiday or something.

I hope you can help!!!

Did you figure it out?

I have the same question as you do. I started from scratch. I got the whole design laid out already. All i need to do is to connect the back side user inputs to the front "event label" and counter.

any ideas?

Thanks, Greg.
