Question about CPU usage

Hi there,

According to iStat Menus, the 2 cores on my MBP are used in complete unison, no matter what im doing..

ie; they are always at the same % (24% 24% for example)

Is this right? Is OS X really this good at load splitting across 2 cores?

On my Mac Pro (8 Core) all 8 cores are always at different % values.

No. What does Activity Monitor (in Utilities folder) show?
