Question about direct tv users that watch nfl

Hey guys I just switched to AT&T/directv. I was out of town yesterday and wanted to watch my football game on my phone. Well It wouldn’t allow me to. Said I had to be on the same network as my reciever at home. Anyone else have this issue or know if a fix? When I had Verizon I could just watch my games from the app. Or also watch them on dish anywhere app. Thanks guys.

You should be able to watch it on the Sunday Ticket app. from the App. Store.

Yeah I don’t have Sunday ticket. Cause I didn’t think I needed it since I only watch home games. I didn’t want to get the Sunday ticket and forget to cancel next year and have to pay $400.
