Here are the processor requirments for Call of Duty IV.

“Recommended Specs”
# CPU: 2.4 GHz dual core
or better is recommended

“Required (min) Specs”
# CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 2.4 GHz or AMD(R) Athlon(TM)
# 64 2800+ processor or any 1.8Ghz Dual Core Processor or better supported

Would a 2.26Ghz MBP run this then? The min specs is a 2.4Ghz but isn't dual core...Im just confused.

You should be able to run it alright.

The Intel 1.8Ghz Dual Core is a Core2Duo with the on-board cache stripped down and a couple other cost cutting measures. Seeing how a P4 2.4ghz is the minimum spec, I wouldn't worry too much.

Thanks for the responses. another question.

Bioshock says min requirements is a 2.4Ghz single core proc, and the recommended jsut says Intel Duo Core. Are they implying that recommended should be a 2.4 Dual Core? Would a 2.26Ghz MBP fall under the recommended category?

The new generation of Macs will run any game, but the variable is the quality of setting at which you can run the thing. I run Crysis, but with overclocking on Windows Vista I can only achieve all high settings. However, in games like COD4, the settings can be set to all maximum. :D
