The E isn't showing up in the top left corner anymore. EDGE still works but the icon indicating it's running on EDGE isn't there. Has anyone had this happen?

It is amazing how not aware of what changed in iPhone updates people are!
The "E" only appears when an EDGE connection is available.
If there is NO EDGE connection available then it is an empty blue box indicating that the connection is GRPS.
This changed in firmware 1.1.2 LAST November! It has nothing to do with the jailbreak!

Did you not read my first post? I understand the blue box. There is an EDGE connection present you would know that if you would have read the post. There's no E and no blue box there's just nothing there.
No I used iLiberty+ it has a fix for EDGE, WiFi, and Bluetooth. My EDGE works there's just no icon saying the phone is connected to EDGE.
I'm not sure since I used iLiberty to jailbreak my phone then went back and used the fix. You can get iLiberty and try the fix to see if it works.
Hay im having this problem too, im connected to edge but the icon isn't showin. Did u ever find a fix, I used ziphone to jailbreak the phone, everthing else works but the damn icon isn't showin
