OK. So here's something I've been wondering about.

In the UK the iPhone is exclusively on 02.
In Germany the iPhone is exclusively on T-Mobile.
In France the iPhone is exclusively on Orange.

So here is my question.
I live in the UK and am currently with T-Mobile. If I went to Germany and bought an iPhone, would it work with my T-Mobile SIM back in the UK?

Unlikely out of the box. T-Mobile like any other mobile company runs seperate networks, as Apple is restricting use to the network they're partnered with then i would expect it to not work with your uk sim.

Most likely you'll need to jailbreak it to work without roaming in the UK.

You'd think something like this would be perfect for EU-wide distribution. I guess it's just not set up for something like a continent wide cellular provider.

Imagine if in the states we had t-mobile in New York, Sprint in Minnesota, AT&T in Pennsylvania, etc
