Question about final cut pro and sound track pro

hi listen i was wondering does soundtrack pro support multi track recording.I was wondering because i wil probably buy a 8 channel multitrack firewire recorder/mixer if it does.
Now for the next question. Final cut pro supports native HD edditing however is there things that you cant do when your editing in Hd and if so what are they.

Final cut pro supports native HD editing. However, are there things that you can't do when your editing in HD and if so, what are they?

The most obvious is capture/output of HD formats other than HDV without a HD capture card.
Otherwise, FCP can scale to any quicktime based format so long as you have the codec for that format. Some HD formats have file sizes that are too large to allow real time preview of effects.
