I still don't quite understand the ranking system of the forums. Obviously, there's "Newbie", "MacRumors Member", and "MacRumors Regular", but some users have strange rankings, like "MacRumors 6502". Then, there's "Demi-God(dess)" and "Contributor". Could someone explain it to me?

If you have no special powers you'll have to read the FAQ I'm afraid:)

How ironic your question given the location in your profile. :D

Our FAQ fails to explain why some members have a little icon under their user title (sample). Luckily, you can mouseover the icon for an explanation!

Puhleeze, you're a mere 205 posts away. Unless Australia drops off the grid, it should happen in 10-20 days.

Unless you need more than 30k posts to hit G5, you might need 35k, 40k or even 50k ;) (the G4 was the processor of choice for ages, so the Gods may have decided that).

It's quite easy to get over 500 if you're active. It's a level of commitment.
It's easy. Ditch your friends. Quit your job. Get a really fast Internet connection. The rest will be straightforward. Until they come to repossess the chair you are sitting in.
