I'm getting a replacement iPhone in a couple of hours, and I want to erase all content and settings on my current iphone for privacy reasons.

My question is, how do I back up all my settings, numbers, texts, basically everything, and get them onto my new iPhone?

I have a MacBook pro, and I know it syncs all the settings and everything but I'm not sure whether they'll just automatically go onto my new iPhone.

Thanks,
Peter James

When you get the new phone restore from a backup and sync everything else that is not in the backup. Don’t erase all until you are giving the phone back.
