My iPhone 6 says I only have about 186 MB left from my original 5 GB iCloud storage. I've turned off everything except my Contacts but I didn't recover any more usable storage.

Is there a way to avoid paying for more storage or is this a one and done? I have all of the pictures on my iPhone saved on my Mac. Any help would be appreciated.

I deleted the iPhoto backup on my iPhone and gained more storage. I have all of the photos uploaded on my Mac.

Questions:

- Does my iPhone and MacBook Pro share my 5.0 GB storage?

- With iPhoto deleted on my iCloud storage, I understand they will not be stored in iCloud but will they remain on my iPhone?

Thanks.
