question about icon shadows

two questions actually, anyone know of a way on 4.2.1 to remove the icon shadows that are underneath the apps

also

since I jailbroke on 4.2.1 i no longer have shadows when i touch my apps... anyone know what causes this?

Folder icon, background image, task switcher icons, dock shadow, multitask shadow, and Rotation Lock

In /bundles/com.apple.springboard rename these files

FolderIconBG.png becomes FolderIconBG~iphone.png
FolderIconBG@2x.png becomes FolderIconBG@2x~iphone.png
FolderSwitcherBG.png becomes FolderSwitcherBG~iphone.png
FolderSwitcherBG@2x.png becomes FolderSwitcherBG@2x~iphone.png
RotationLockButton.png becomes RotationLockButton~iphone.png
RotationLockButton@2x.png becomes RotationLockButton@2x~iphone.png
RotationUnlockButton.png becomes RotationUnlockButton~iphone.png
RotationUnlockButton@2x.png becomes RotationUnlockButton@2x~iphone.png
SwitcherIconShadow.png becomes SwitcherIconShadow~iphone.png
SwitcherIconShadow@2x.png becomes SwitcherIconShadow@2x~iphone.png
WallpaperIconDockShadow.png becomes WallpaperIconDockShadow~iphone.png
WallpaperIconDockShadow@2x.png becomesWallpaperIconDockShadow@2x~iphone.png

The ones you have to rename are called WallpaperIconShadow@2x~iphone.png and wallpapericondock~iphone@2x or something along those lines

They are in the springboard.app folder

Does this work for the black shadows behind icons in the multitask bar? I've done everything, but it still doesn't give me clear icons.

I've renamed the following files in the Springboard.app folder:
WallpaperIconShadow@2x~iphone.png
WallpaperDockIconShadow@2x~iphone.png
SwitcherIconShadow@2x~iphone.png
I've also renamed AppIconMask@2x~iphone.png in /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/MobileIcons.framework

I am running 4.2.1 on a 4th gen iPod Touch. Any help will be much appreciated.
