question about installing the iphone 2.0 update

so i downloaded the firmware, and while it was downloading it showed that it was downloading a file something like iphone1,2_2.ipsw or something which would make sense (ipsw=iphonesoftware), but when it finished all i am left with is a folder with some .dmgs and other stuff in it. there is no ipsw file in it. is the folder the ipsw file?

same here i compressed it to a zip then renamed it to ipsw but it still didnt work🙁

Problem with Itunes 7.7

I have downloaded iTunes 7.7 using Windows Vista.

I keep getting a message of "AppleMobileDeviceHelper has stopped working."

It keeps popping up and I can't do much else.

Anyone else had this problem so far?

Any fixes?
