question about internet on iPhone...

I got this unlocked iPhone that I have been trying to access the internet with... it says "could not activate EDGE"... and it never happened before... it started after I unblocked the 1.1.3.... any one knows whats that?

It means it can't access EDGE. Does your phone provider have EDGE service?

Find out what your service provider's APN settings are, (take a look http://www.taniwha.org.uk/gprs.html here).

Then:

Settings -> General -> Network -> EDGE ->

And enter the APN details there.

i just checked my phone, and that option isnt even there under network

I did it and it worked, but now randomly "Safari can't find server"... and I am writing this and posting this, so I am pretty sure the internet is working...

This happens from time to time on EDGE. Reset the phone or wait awhile.

reset as restore? or just turn it off and on 🙂S)

Reset=turn the phone off the back on. Not locking, but holding down the lock button until the power off slider appears on the screen.

Restore=use the restore function in iTunes.
