Question about iTunes and iPhone

If I plug my iPhone which has no music library into iTunes, will it erase my iTunes music and make it blank because my phone has no music or will it update the phone with whatever is in iTunes?

It will copy from iTunes onto your phone.

In the iTunes preferences you can define how iTunes will act once the iPhone is connected.
The iTunes Library will not be erased, but the iPhone could if it was connected to another iTunes Library before.

Once the iPhone is connected it will who up in iTunes and you can configure it.
