I have created a new user in my macbook pro deleting the old user account. So to the new user there are no files except few OS files. When i went to the about this mac to verify the free hard drive. The status shows 138.7 gb of movies as to my knowledge there are no movies at all. and other as 123.26 gb. i don't know what that means.
Can any one please tell me how to get that space back

To find out, where you hard drive capacity is being used, you can use the following free applications:
Maybe try a combination of several, if you still can't find the "missing" capacity.

Did you also verify, that the old user account folder has been deleted from the Macintosh HD / Users / folder?
