does the macbook pro come pre installed with snow leopard?(like u can straight away turn it on after taking it out)or do i have to install it myself?

2)wat r the software DVDs that come in the box?

3)if i want to install windows via boot camp do i need to buy a new snow leopard cd to install the drivers or can i use the software DVDs that came in the box?

It comes with Snow Leopard installed, yes. You just input your personal information to set the computer up.

It comes with the disks to install Mac OS X and the iLife suite.

You can use the software that came in the box.

Yep! Power it on, put in your name, address, and all that stuff and you're good to go :)

You can use the Snow Leopard disc as many times as you need to on your computer.

The only 1 thing I can add to discussion above is hat for me (2 weeks ago) it came with snow leopard v 10.6.3, while there was 10.6.4 upgrade available, but this is easy to upgrade.)

You can use it on another computer as long as it is the exact same model of computer. No, it does not use a serial number, but there is a hardware compatibility check that the computer goes through before installation.

It doesn't have a serial key, no Apple software does (made by apple). So in theory you can use it on as many machines as you like (depending on your morals) but the disc will be macbook pro specific unlike when you purchase a retail copy of snow leopard.

You can use the Mac OS X disk that came with your computer to install the bootcamp drivers, yes.

No, it doesn't. Updating through software update does not touch your data.
