I have set up rules in Mail on my MacBook and my iMac (the rules automatically sort certain emails into specific folders). When I make a change to a rule on my iMac, the change successfully appears in the Mail preferences on my MacBook because of the automatic MobileMe sync.

When my office computer and my MacBook are turned off, I view my email on my iPhone 3G and the email is not sorted into the correct folders (according to the Mail rules I created).

My question is, do I need to leave my office computer running so that the rules will sort new email or is this supposed to happen at the MobileMe server itself?

Cheers.

Yes, the rules are a function of mail.app not MobileMe. They are not implemented on the server level, but at the local level when the mail reaches mail.app

OK thanks! I thought that this was probably the case but I was hoping that someone else could confirm it.

Thanks again!
Cheers.
