Question about mini-DVI to DVI adaptor

Is the DVI end a DVI-I or a DVI-D? i.e. can I plug a DVI-to-VGA adapter into the end, so I don't have to buy both Apple adaptors?

It's DVI-I, though if you need VGA, the mini DVI to VGA adapter is a much easier path to take. Even still, yeah, you could do that.

Thanks! It's become a non-issue now, huzzah (MacBook Pro rather than a MacBook for someone at work).

just find a rite vga-dvi plug from eBay for <£5 shipped...

try not alwasy be ripped off if u can 😛
