Question about MobileMe trial

Can I do the 60 day trial and then pay the $70 from apple? I only see the $99 option online and since they ask for a credit-card I'm not sure if it will automatically charge the full price after the trial, which I don't want to pay.

I don't understand where you getting $70?? It's $99 for a year-subscription.

I signed up for the trial and bought a Mobile Me code on ebay for $50. Just entered that in I'm good for the year. Once your account is active, they won't bill your credit card.

They ask for a credit card as one additional way to identify you and to make it convenient to bill you if you continue. Apple is very trustworthy, they will not arbitrarily charge your card. Just be sure that you read the terms and conditions as you would for your credit card itself.

Be careful on eBay. Sometimes people find .me serials for a good less than the $99. Other people find their .me account banned because the serial was from a hacked credit card.
