Question about MS DOS(FAT) partition Encription

If i encrypt a MS DOS(Fat partition), is it going to stay encrypted on Windows PC. Is it going to ask for password to open the drive?

i just right clicked on the drive and selected encrypt. So now everytime i connect my hard drive its asking for my password. so i want to know to if its also going to ask for password if i connect to Windows PC.

Do you have a Windows PC? You will find out soon enough if you try it.

I don't think it'll ask for a password. The PC doesn't recognize FileVault, so it might just tell you the disk is unreadable.
