my friend in medical school has this feature set up where the screen splits into four, kinda like "spaces" then each square is a new desktop so he can organize his notes, lectures, hw, and projects seperately..

how do i do the same?? i have the newest OS..

Maybe he has a virtual desktop manager installed, if he has Mac OS < 10.5, like Virtue or some other software title I can't recall right now.

you hit the nail on the head in your post. its called spaces. should be in your applications folder on your hard drive. also look in your system prefs.
