Question about my iphone 4s...

I noticed that my ntelos iphone 4s w/Ntelos has the sim card slot on the side, I know it's a cdma phone initially, is there an unlock that can be done on this phone to work on GSM carriers? I see/read about ATT unlocks, was wondering if it was available for Verizon/Sprint/Ntelos variants.

I'm pretty sure there is not a GSM option for CDMA phones

Longstoryshort: it can initially be used as either, but once it's activated as one, that's it, until the day it dies. Kind of like Red Sox & Yankee fans.

contact the seller there wrong! or at least deceiving.

In the case of Verizon and Sprint in the U.S. (two major CDMA carriers) if you contact them a few months into your contract and your account is in good standing they will unlock the phone for GSM use with any non-American carrier.
