mywi needs data. all it does is simply let you tether the data to your computer....it does not give you free 3g

How do you expect to get carrier data for free without beeing charged and then use that data for tethering too?

I know this is actually pretty funny, but I used data in China for almost 2 months without being charged for it. When I went into ask about getting a data plan they said they had no record of me actually receiving data to my phone - So I went from a FREE data plan to a $9USD / month unlimited data plan 😀

The China Mobile data system is freak'n fast too. Where I live the reception is terrible, but everywhere else it's solid as a rock. Heck, I had 3g service at Mount Everest.

Wasn't sure you could use VPN with MobileSafari as I never had a need. Good to know.
But when I order a Quarter Pounder without cheeze, they charge me the same price as a Quarter Pounder with cheeze. Like AT&T charging me for data usage and then charging me again just because I want to use the data I already paid for, just to tether to a laptop. It's a conspiracy I tell you!

Some services work and some don't - I've had it go a few weeks with on working but when it does it's awesome
In about a week, if the jb is up by then, I will be updating my blog from 15,000ft setting up snow leopard camera traps.
In my line of work, having the internet and a vpn on your phone is priceless.
If you need recommendations on a good company, let me know.
