Question about pcie lanes/slots 2008 mp

Hi, I've got 2 graphic cards in mine. A Mac 8800 gt and a Mac gtx285, what slots should they be in to get max performance...

Currently I have the 285 in slot 1 and the 8800 in slot 2.

Is that correct?

They're in correct slots. In 2008 1&2 are 16 lane slots, 3&4 are 4 lane each.
Use Expansion Slot Utility (/System/Library/CoreServices/) to check slot settings.

thanks again Sheepy, the expansion slot utility doesnt work on 2008 and later, i used to use that on my original mp, but no joy on 2008 and later.
