Question about photo on iMac

Okay, this is going to sound like a silly question, but I just got a new iMac and I havent used a mac regularly since OS 9. SO here is my question:

When I was setting up the computer, it had me set up my user account and let me take a photo with the built in webcam. Well, It's not a bad photo, and I want to actually save it and use it elsewhere, but I can't find where the photo is. How do I get that pic? When I go to my user account in system preferences, I can see the pic, but I want it in jpeg form or whatever extension i need to be able to put in my photo library. Any help?

Okay, I think I found it under iChat recent pictures as a tiff file. Looks like I have a little bit of refresher work to do to get myself back into the Mac mentality.
