Ok, correct me if I am wrong,

The pixel size on a 15" screen with the same resolution as the 13" screen would be larger, therefore an image that on a 13" would look 'better' than on the one on the low res 15" screen.

However what about the 15" high res screen? with a larger screen but more pixels, would that make the pixel size the same as the 13" and therefore a picture on a 13" should look exactly the same on the high res 15" screen?

Does that mean the same picture will look as good on the 17"?

The high-res would look better than the 13".

You have more pixels overall, and you have a bigger screen to see the pixels.

1680x1050 is quite a bit more than 1280x800, about 740,000 more pixels.

Say what you want, but a big art drawing looks better than a little picture of it (of the same quality).

You want to calculate PPI for each screen res and size combo. Then the screen with the highest PPI will always look better with the same image.
