Question about preordering at ATT when the new phone comes out...

when you preorder at ATT do you have to pay in full for the phone to them or do you order it and pay for it when it comes out? im not sure how it worked with preordering last year.

You pay the full amount but they won't charge your card until the order actually ships.

Call AT&T, give them your credit card over the phone and you will only get charged after the item ships. Make sure to get free fed-ex overnight if you can!

well i planned on doing this in the store so thats why i was wondering about in store pre order..

Just do it over the phone, unless you like waiting in lines. Much easier.

I think that the original poster is referring to pre-ordering the iPhone, but going to an AT&T store to do it! This has nothing to do with waiting in lines per say. He/She does not want to order it online or through the phone. I am guessing that he/she will be going in when it is available for pre-order and then picking it up when it is released.

yup because if i recall they were accepting preorders in ATT to pick up when it comes out.
