Hey,
I have a Radeon 9700 non-Pro (PC card) in the post for my Sawtooth (supports AGP 2x). Now, I'll be flashing it on my Mac via VNC with Graphiccelerator (wish me luck). I don't know whether I should flash a 128KB ROM or a 64KB ROM.. I have a picture of it but it's a tad blurry. Can anyone help me identity the ROM size or give me some pointers?

I downloaded a 128KB and 64KB ROM from themacelite flashing blog of course. I have a PC to flash it with but that's really a last resort as it's not mine and it usually gives a whole lot of problems when you change hardware (heck, even software tbh). I've heard flashing 128KB ROM images on 64KB cards make them accessible on PCs only so is it safe to flash a 64KB ROM on a 128KB card?

ROM source: http://themacelite.wikidot.com/wikidownloads2

Thanks,
Aurora

Id need a close up of the EEPROM to tell but if you insert the card VNC in and dump the PC ROM with ATI rom dumper it will crate a .txt file (along with the PC ROM) with a bunch of info in it and it will tell you the make model and size of your EEPROM. its safe to flash a 64K ROM to a 128K EEPROM but the 128K ROM is the recommended one if you flash a 128K ROM onto a 64K EEPROM it will error out at the end and as long as you dont reboot you can then flash the 64K ROM

Okay! I'll look for the EEPROM and send it to you when it arrives and I'll make sure to dump the PC rom
