question about returning iphone 4 and porting back to VZW

Just to start off, this is not a flame post. I'm having serious signal issues and need to get back to VZW.

My question is should I port my numbers first and then return the iPhones or should I return the phones and then port? I don't have any replacement gsm phones so if I were to return the iPhones first, the lines would be empty and I wanted to find out if this is a problem. Thanks.

Complete your port back to VZW. As a matter of fact they have a department dedicated to coming back to VZW and they will help you out.

This is exactly why I didnt port my VZW line and instead got a new number with AT&T to try this out. If they dont get this signal debacle under control in less than 30 days then I will have to return the iPhone 4 and that is something REALLY DONT want to do
